A couple of things....
Just got back from a lovley week away in Spain with my fiance. The weather was fantastic and had a really amazing time - it was so nice just to get away from normal life and take a small break. I am going to sort out all the piccies and get some posted on here.
I am thinking of trying to improve my photography skills by undertaking a photo-a-day challenge to my self. Just to try and take a different photo each day and hopefully get some critique from others who are better at it than myself to try and improve. It might end up being every week depending on my workload and time avaiable. (There I go again putting things off *slaps hands*)
Got started on Christmas shopping - managed to get a few bits this weekend - but am not going to go mental this year by spending so much on everyone.
Hope everyone is doing alright :)

( 5 more... )
Usual shit life stuff
- Job is crappy and really hate it.
- Feel unwell all the time, especially with headaches. If it continues I will need to go to the doctors.
- Home life is as shitty as ever. No-one is getting on with each other :(
Kinda cool stuff
- Christopher just got a job offer for the nursing place he has been looking into *huggles and proud face*
- I got a new doll, a Miyu, who is super cute but I dont have her eyes, wig or clothes yet so no piccies.
- Booked a holiday for November which I'm really looking forwad too.
Random things
- Watched the Harry Potter film and disappointed at all the things they left out. I enjoyed it but thought it should have been better.
- Really looking forward to the New Moon film which is due out in Nov - the trailers and pictures coming out look awesome.
- Bought the PSP back and have been really enjoying Patapon.
Hope everyone is ok and doing fine at the moment.
xx
Not too much to report really, just mainly been working - which is pissing me off more than it should - but have a couple of interesting things have happened.
Spent a few days in London a week or so ago with the other half, which was really nice. Saw lots of the landmarks and too loads of photos (I will edit some and post them later this week hopefully) and went to see Phantom of the Opera again. It was freaking awesome, just as great as I remebered it. The weather managed to stay dry for the whole time we were there which we didnt expect so we managed to do all the things that we had planned without having to look liked drowned rats all day. I will post more when I upload the piccies.
I'm getting another doll. I have put a hold on a Miyu which Im going to be paing for in a few days when I get paid. I cant wait to get her home, but Im having a few problems thinking of a name for her. She is going to be really laid back and hippy-ish, but I cant find a name that suits her. Any suggestions?
Hope everyone who reads this is having an alright time at the moment and for those who are not, I hope things get better soon and sort themselves out.

There is a pigeon in my office and the only window that opens fully is next to my desk. The first one came in and then in the process of trying to get it out of the window another one came in throught the window. It kept flapping near my head. Thankfully it seems to have settled down on the air-con unit across the room, but when they try to get it out again. Eeeeeeeek.
I really don't like things that flap. Especially near my head. And especially in places where things should not be flapping.

( More under here... )
I adore the 0___0 look she has.

I had tried to update this a few days ago, but then when I tried to post it totally messed up, so I'm going to try and post it again.
It really has been such a long time since I posted on this thing, some stuff has happened but not really too much.
The home situation is not getting any better; if possible it has got worse than before. Everyone feels uncomfortable and is getting on everyone’s nerves and wires keep getting crossed. I really have no clue about what to do and how to make it better for everyone. :(
Made rather a few major purchases. I think I had already posted about the TV (still can’t believe how big it looks in the bedroom), but since then have bought a PS3 and a laptop. We needed the laptop as the computer broke, but the PS3 was something we had been saying we would get for ages but never did. It’s now become the media centre; it’s used for all the DVD's and blu-ray discs. I have to say that I did not think there would be such a huge difference between the two, but there is. I am loving watching HP and Wall-e on blu-ray the picture is crystal clear and the emotion Pixar manage to get into Wall-e is fantastic. So adorable! I really need them to bring out LOTR on blu-ray, it will be spectacular!!
Last time I posted I had wanted to see Twilight but had not expected too much. We went to see it at the pictures and I was surprised on two accounts. The first was the audience, I had been thinking it would be full of teenage girls, but the showing we went to was mainly couples in their 30's, and the second was the quality of the film. I thought that it stuck to the book more than other book-to-film adaptations and that it was far better than I was expecting. I thought that KS and RP got the essence of the characters and the tension down really well. I will be picking the blu-ray up on Monday.
I have also given in to the pukis again. I have picked up a Flora and have called her Minty. So cute, I will post pictures of her later when I'm not sneaking a few minutes at work.
I'm really looking forward to the doll meet that’s being arranged, I haven’t seen everyone and the pretty dolls in so long. I hope that the weather is really nice and doesn't rain on the plans.
Hope that everyone is doing fine and is fine and well.
Grrrrr!
Got a new job working for the local council on the phones. Not really liking it but it pays ok and the people there are nice enough. I just really hate the customers and the other parts of the job. We had like 4 weeks of training and then were shoved on the phones on our own and the training was crap, it might have well have been done by a monkey for all the help it was. I cant see myself staying there for a long time but its fine for now.
Things at home are getting really tough to cope with. With everyone living in such a small space we all seem to get on each others nerves and wires of communication get crossed all the time. I would rent somewhere, but I really want to save for a house and other things and I feel that the rent money could be spent on better things. We will have to see how things go and then figure out what to do.
Been getting a couple of things for Christmas, but no-one is easy to buy for here and people never tell you what they want. I have a few ideas for Christopher but havent got anything yet. I have no idea what I want, well I do want somethings, but they are either really expensive or pretty difficult to get hold of if you dont want to shop online for things. I was thinking of getting another puki, but I was wondering if I should just save the money and get a Kale or his girlfriend instead. Im pretty much set on getting an El for Kale and a Miyu for his girlfriend (yet unnamed), but still not sure. Also am loving the new littlefee dolls from Fairyland. Will they not stop bring out dolls that I really like.
Just a couple of other things...
- Cant stop playing on the Xbox since we got a bit TV in the bedroom.
- Am addicted to Viva Pinata: TIP and Lego Batman.
- Really want a PS3 - there are some games I really want to play that just arent out for other consoles :(
- Very pissed that Harry Potter has been moved to next summer, I was really looking forward to it.
- Really want to see the Twilight film, but dont have great expectations for it as films never really match the books!
- Am getting sick often as its always freaking cold and my immune system doesnt seem to work.
On a final note, Im glad that Obama won the Presidents race but I will miss all the stupid stuff that Bush used to say.
I will try and write on this more often (or atleast not have too long a stretch between them)

Went to see The Dark Knight yesterday and it was freaking awesome. Loved it!! Before we went I wanted to watch Batman Begins so I understood the backstory and wasn't just dropped in the middle. I really liked that too, but thought DK was better. I have to say that Heath Ledger was really good as The Joker and can understand why people are talking of Oscars already. I thought the whole movie had a great plot and everyone in it was excellent. I would advise people to go and see it, it was well worth the £6.50 I spent on the ticket.
While I was there I also picked up the Twilight series of books, well the first 3 anyway. I hadn't really heard of them until I saw a video entitled "JK Who?" about the release of the new book and a film being made. I looked on IMBD and saw that Robert Pattison was playing someone from them and thought that the promo pictures looked pretty cool, so thought about picking them up. They were on 3 for 2, so that was the deciding factor in getting them. I started reading Tuesday night and had finished the first book yesterday night, I couldn't put it down. Really liked it, thought it was very good and am now a little pissed that I decided to leave the second book at home while we went away for a couple of days.
I am really looking forward to the new Harry Potter film after watching the trailer, it looks very good and hopefully if they stick to the book this should be great. Also now wanting to watch the Twilight movie too.
This past weekend I took a trip to Oxford to visit my sister who is on placement there. We had a look round the centre and I took Flick with me too. I was hoping to get some snaps of her with the sights, but it was very busy and I didn't feel comfortable getting her out. I got to go to the Eagle and Child pub where Tolkein went to write and talk about Lord of the Rings. I have wanted to go since I read LOTR!!*squee* The weather was really hot and I managed to get very burnt and am now in quite alot of pain from it.
Took some pictures that I wanted to share. (They have been edited a little bit with some funky effects.)
:)
This just sucks!
I have been wanting to get Livi's brother Kale for a while and was all set on a CP Shine, but never got him because he wasn't perfect and just as I had imagined him. Well now Fairyland have released the Nanuri head and he has just taken my breath away. I adore him and he would be the perfect Kale, BUT I have no money and no way of getting the $600 I would need to bring him home from Fairyland. I might be able to join a group order, but then others would want the head and I still might not get him. I wonder how much he will be and if people would let me just pay for the head?

I'm also really liking the some of the new pukis, especially the dreaming Flora (again going to be difficult to get hold of).
*Curses the timing of this event*
Some new piccies of Flick I took a while back. She wanted to pick some pretty flowers for everyone :)
Had a really great time at the meet-up in Leeds on Sunday, got to see all the pretty dollies and their lovely owners. I hope we have another one soon :)
After seeing some Puki's at the meet-up, me and Chris decided we wanted one to join our dollie family. Luck would have it that someone was selling their Puki Sugar and 3 days later she has arrived here!! :D She is the cutest thing ever and so much prettier in person than these photo's show.
Her name is now Flick!
I adore her already and really want some little friends for her to play with!! I'm going to have an army of Puki's!!
:)
I realised the other day that since I've had Syxx, nearly 7 months, I've only taken one set of photos with him in. I play with and cuddle him all the time but have neglected to capture his beauty on film...so rectify this a Syxx shoot was in order. Livi also wanted in on the action too.

:)
Just a couple of updates really...it's been such a long time since I was on here.
I have been getting the BJD-urge again and have locked in on a few scuplts I really want. The only concrete one though is going to be a CP Shine in normal skin called Kale. The others I want are a CP Soo and a Latidoll Belle. I was bored, so I played with that doll maker-thingy and made dolls for the four big dolls I have and want...

I can't decide on a name for the Soo, I was thinking of Clover - but it reminds me of the butter just a little too much! And I don't know which size of the Belle to get...the normal white or the sp white. The normal is 9.8cm tall and the sp is 12cm tall. Help?!?

I've been having a bit of a Lord of the Rings geek-fest. I watch all the extended movie editions and all the extras on the special edition box sets. I really enjoy them and love seeing how everything came together to make the movies sooo fantastic. Also thinking about getting the white tree of Gondor as a tattoo, but I'm terrified of the pain (I'm a hugh wimp). Hopefully I will know a little better after Wednesday, as Christopher is getting his first and I'm going too.
After the LOTR Fest I was looking at the Paint-Your_own thingys from Games Workshop and thought they were really cool. I just think I don't have a steady enough hand to do that amount of detail on such a small thing and I would have on-one to play the game with after I had painted them. I might go to the local one and have a little look though and see how expensive they are.
Hope everyone else is doing good! :)

For the videogame freaks out there -
What game(s) are you currently playing?
I have quite a few on the go, and I love playing them all. I'm still playing on Zoo Tycoon 2 for the PC which I got for Christmas last year, and Harvest Moon for the DS. I'm also playing MySims for the Wii, Guitar Hero 2 & 3 and Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life.
What was the last game you beat?
I think it was Super Mario Bros. for the DS. I really enjoyed playing it with all the different levels and things to do and it was quite challenging.
What was the first gaming system you had?
I don't really remember, but I think the first computer I played games on was an Amiga. I think one of the first games I played was one of those where you are a worm and you have to eat things with killing yourself. (If this doesn't count it was a Gameboy. You gotta love tetris!)
What's the best game you've played. Ever?
I really don't think I can pick a best ever. I have loved playing on Zoo Tycoon 2 and I really enjoy the Harvest Moon series of games. I guess I would pick on of those :)
Best of the following genres...
Sport -
I don't really play sports games, the only ones I usually do are Wresting games.
FPS -
Again not really my type of game.
RPG/Action -
I love the Zelda games (I've recently been playing Phantom Hourglass on the DS - really good and cute graphics) and Mario (if they count). You can tell that I'm a Nintendo Fan!!
Other -
I'm gonna be repeating myself but Harvest Moon and Zoo Tycoon rate very highly, but I also really enjoy Guitar Hero and many mini-game collections on the DS and Wii!
What's better, PS3, Wii or 360?
I own both a Wii and a 360, but I guess I would say the Wii as there are more games on it that I enjoy. I also really like the fact that most people can play on the Wii without any trouble (great fun watching Gran trying to play on WarioWare).
This or that -
Mario or Sonic - Mario
Halo 3 or Gears Of War - Halo 3 (I haven't really played on either)
Super Mario Galaxy or Super Paper Mario - This is really tough, I guess Mario Galaxy, but I really like both!!
PSP or Nintendo DS - DS, you gotta love the touch screen!
Finally, what game(s) are you anticipating the most for 2008?
There are a few that I really want....Zak and Wiki (Wii), Harvest Moon (Wii), Project O (Wii), Super Smash Bros. Brawl (wii), Rock Band (360) and LOTR: The White Council (360). I'm sure there are others that haven't been announced that I will want.
:)
Livi got tagged by
arsenic_spider 's Ran to do the OC interview meme, but I also added Syxx :p
:)
